Don't Miss the RAM SLAM

I hope you did not miss the RAM SLAM triple header in the bull ring on Sunday. If you did, then you missed an abundance of boundaries, a handful of half centuries, record breaking partnerships, and much, much more ... Don't miss anymore matches!!!

The triple header alone produced 1 000+ runs.

Let's start off with load shedding. So apparently Eskom is having issues with delivering electricity once again. To save yourself the heartache I had to endure during the triple header, if you can, then make your way to the stadium so you don't miss out because there might be more load shedding. Besides, your handheld device won't even last that long. I thought without electricity I would at least follow the matches on twitter, unfortunately my cellphone network decided to take that away away too. What's a cellphone without network coverage - nothing!

Ram Hand to Hand Couriers upped the ante this season with their win a million competition. A clean, one hand catch during a televised game can win you a million. However, there are a few terms and conditions you need to familiarise yourself with before running around like a headless chicken with excitement.

Wait, there's more ...

The Ram Slam Fan Challenge, is a competition designed to test a fan’s ability and incorporates 6 disciplines of the game to do so. Fans are selected from the crowd to participate and the fan that completes the course in the quickest time wins a Galaxy Tab 3 Lite.

Remember the Glam Cam? If one of the SuperSport cameras spot you wearing red, you could also win a Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. That reminds me, I don't have anything red to wear.

There were also jumping castles and all sorts of fun entertainment for kids. Since I'm petite and basically look like a young teen, I'll fit right in and that's where you'll find me.

Henry Davids and Dean Elgar of The Unlimited Titans put on a record breaking 1st wicket partnership of 152 runs off 96 balls. What do you say to that? It's T20 cricket baby!!!

For some franchises, it's not just about picking up wickets and scoring runs. They had fun out there. The Chevrolet Derby produced a few good dance moves. While, Diego Rosier and Shadley van Schalkwyk of the Chevrolet Knights did the dougie, Simon Harmer of the Chevrolet Warriors was doing some weird grass hopping moves - I don't know what that dance is called, that's if it even has a name.

The RAM SLAM went all out this season. There were 'fire breathing dragons' (fire displays), illuminating wickets & bails ...

The international cricketers played very well, making their mark in the triple header. The Sunfoil Dolphins couldn't bask in the same ambience because Dwayne Bravo could only fly in today, ready for the match tomorrow.

Chevrolet Knights – Andre Russell (1-21)

Chevrolet Warriors – Craig Kieswetter (51 runs)

Nashua Cape Cobras – Kieron Pollard (72* runs & 3-22)

The Unlimited Titans – Darren Sammy (0-23)

bizhub Highveld Lions – Chris Gayle (56 & 4-36)

Sunfoil Dolphins – Dwayne Bravo

The RAM SLAM also gives away bonus points. Basically, 'if a team achieves a run rate of 1.25 times that of the opposition, they shall be awarded one bonus point. A team's run rate will be calculated by reference to the runs scored in an innings divided by the number of overs.balls faced.'

I HOPE I HAVE MADE MYSELF CLEAR. DO NOT MISS ANYMORE RAM SLAM. YOU'LL REGRET IT!!!
